Rikke is what you wear when a gown is the obvious answer and you want a better one. The bustier bodice is structured and covered in pearl embroidery; below it the trousers run slim and stop arguing.

Pearl embroidery. Beadwork across the bodice that catches light at close range rather than across a room, which is the difference between refined and loud.

Structured bustier bodice. It holds its own shape, which is what a strapless top has to do before anything else about it matters.

Slim tailored trousers. A clean line from waist to hem, so the bodice stays the only thing happening.

White throughout. One tone top to bottom, which is what lets the embroidery read as texture rather than as a panel.

Everyone else at the party will be in a dress. You will be the one who could sit down properly, and that is worth more than it sounds.
