Lacing at the back is how a strapless dress stops being a gamble.

Most strapless dresses are a bet on the size chart being right. Marthe laces at the back instead, so the boned corset is pulled to where you actually are — and the draping at the hip and the slit below it can get on with the rest.

Boned corset bodice. The structure is built in rather than relying on the fit being lucky, under a straight neckline that holds its line.
