Texture is what stops a plain blouse reading as a plain blouse.

Kaia runs an all-over textured pattern through the body and the sleeves, which gives a single colour something to do in daylight. A deep V-neckline and gathered cuffs take care of everything else.

All-over texture. Worked through the fabric rather than printed on top of it. It catches light instead of lying flat.

Deep V-neckline. Cut low enough to be the one open thing on the blouse, so everything else can stay shut.

Billowy sleeves. Full through the arm and drawn in at the wrist by a gathered cuff. The volume stops where it should.

Relaxed drape. It falls away from the body rather than following it, so it tucks in or hangs loose equally well.

Wear it with jeans on Saturday and under a blazer on Monday. Very little in a wardrobe crosses that gap without effort.
