Elastic runs down both sides where a strap would normally sit, which is how Juniper goes on and off without anything to fasten. Underneath, the footbed is contoured rather than flat, so the arch has something to sit on instead of a board.

Elastic side panels. They give to let the foot in and settle back to keep it there, which is the whole reason there is nothing to buckle.

Contoured footbed. The arch is supported rather than left flat, and the shape spreads each step across more of the foot than a plain insole manages.

Durable flat sole. Built for the distance an ordinary day actually covers, not just the walk from the car to the door.

Low, grounded profile. The shoe sits close to the floor, so the line stays clean instead of adding bulk at the ankle.
