Corsetry is the one construction that shows its work, and Bridgette puts it directly under a floral skirt that runs to the floor. Fine straps keep the shoulders out of the argument entirely.

Structured corset bodice. The top half holds its own shape rather than relying on the wearer to hold it for them.

Fine spaghetti straps. Thin enough to stay out of the way of the bodice, which is the part doing the work.

Floral print skirt. A pattern that only reads properly at length, which is why it runs to the floor rather than stopping at the knee.

Floor-length hem. The sweep that makes a corset read as formal rather than as a going-out top.
