Structured blazer. Definition through the shoulder and the waist, which is what separates a suit jacket from a soft one.

Streamlined trousers. Cut clean so the vertical runs unbroken from shoulder to hem when the set is worn together.

Two pieces that separate. The blazer goes over jeans, the trousers go under anything — neither one needs the other to make sense.

Full-length trouser cut. It runs to the ankle without a break, so nothing interrupts the line the blazer sets up.
